Two Way Forward Brunham Commits!

ŁÓDŹ, POLAND – The Łódź Legion announced today the commitment of center Sages Brunham for the 2026–27 European Union College Hockey League season, adding a defensively responsible forward with international experience to their inaugural roster.

Brunham, a 2007-born native of Vancouver, British Columbia, brings a unique development path to Poland. The center most recently split time between the Spirit of Hockey U20 program in Finland and the Colorado Fighting Elks of the USPHL Premier, gaining valuable exposure to different styles of play across two continents. That international experience, combined with his proven ability to adapt to new environments, makes him an ideal fit for the Legion's vision of merging competitive hockey with academic excellence in a European setting.

"He's a two-way forward with an exceptional compete level who isn't afraid to do the dirty work in all three zones. His experience playing in Finland demonstrates his willingness to challenge himself in new environments, and we believe he'll thrive in our system. He's the kind of player who can handle hard minutes in critical situations, and we expect him to develop his 200-foot game significantly while he's with us."

The EUCHL offers players like Brunham a distinctive pathway, combining high-level hockey competition with academic opportunities through partnerships with the University of Łódź and Łódź University of Technology. For a player who has already shown the maturity to pursue development overseas, the chance to continue his education while playing in one of Europe's emerging hockey markets represents an ideal next step.
