ŁÓDŹ LEGION ANNOUNCE COMMITMENT OF GOALTENDER SAM EPP

ŁÓDŹ, POLAND – The Łódź Legion are proud to announce the commitment of goaltender Sam Epp from Whitehorse, Yukon, for the upcoming season.

Epp arrives in Łódź with an impressive AAA hockey pedigree and valuable junior experience gained in two of Canada's premier development leagues, the KIJHL and GOJHL. Throughout his career, Sam has demonstrated a strong work ethic, technical ability, and the composure required to excel between the pipes.

The Łódź Legion coaching staff first had the opportunity to evaluate Epp in person at the Western Elite Showcase in Alberta. His performance on the ice immediately caught the attention of the organization, showcasing his athleticism, positioning, and confidence in net against high-level competition.

Beyond his play, the Legion staff were equally impressed by the character he displayed away from the rink.

"We had the opportunity to watch Sam compete at the Western Elite Showcase and were very impressed with how he handled himself in the net," said Coach Dylan Row. "As we got to know Sam and his family throughout the event, it became clear that he possesses the character, maturity, and commitment we value in our players."

Director of Hockey Operations Kyle Lambourne echoed those sentiments.

"Both Coach Row and myself felt this was a natural fit from the beginning. Sam not only has the ability to help our team succeed on the ice, but he also embodies the culture we are building within the Łódź Legion organization. We are excited to welcome him to Poland and look forward to helping him continue his development both as a player and as a person."

The opportunity to join the Łódź Legion also represents an exciting next step in Epp's hockey and academic journey, providing him with the chance to compete at a high level while pursuing post-secondary education in Europe and positioning himself within the growing pathway toward professional hockey opportunities overseas.

Epp shared his excitement regarding his commitment:

"Proud and excited to announce my commitment to play college hockey in Łódź, Poland. Thank you to my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has supported me along the way. Ready for the next chapter."

The entire Łódź Legion organization would like to congratulate Sam and his family on this commitment and looks forward to seeing him represent the Legion in the upcoming season.

Welcome to the Legion, Sam!
