Łódź Legion Names FOLWARK Restauracja & Hotel Official Hotel Partner

by Dylan Row

Zgierz, Poland — The Łódź Legion is proud to announce FOLWARK Restauracja & Hotel as the club's Official Hotel Partner for the inaugural EUCHL season.

Every visiting team travelling to Zgierz to face the Legion will be housed at Folwark — from Prague, Brno, Ostrava and Bratislava — making it the front door of our program for every opponent, official and travelling supporter who comes through our building.

Why Folwark

Folwark isn't a highway stopover. The hotel and restaurant are built into the restored buildings of a historic farmstead on the quiet edge of Zgierz — rustic character, modern rooms, and a walled courtyard and garden that give a travelling team somewhere to actually decompress after a long bus ride.

  • Minutes from the barn. Roughly 3 km from MOSiR Zgierz, our home arena — a short, predictable ride on game day.
  • Built for groups. 40+ rooms, family and triple configurations, and generous private parking with room for team buses.
  • Meeting space on site. Three function rooms, the largest at 120 m² and seating 70 theatre-style — ideal for video sessions and pre-game meetings without leaving the property.
  • Food that travels well. An on-site à la carte restaurant and full buffet breakfast, so teams eat on schedule instead of chasing a late kitchen.
  • Quiet and secure. Set back from the road on private grounds, with free Wi-Fi throughout.
  • Easy arrivals. About 20 km from Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport.

What guests say

Folwark's reputation is earned, not marketed. The property carries a 4.3-star rating across nearly 1,000 Google reviews and an 8.8/10 "Excellent" score from 680 Booking.com reviews.

Recurring themes in those reviews read like a checklist for a visiting hockey club: guests consistently describe the rooms as spacious, clean and comfortable; the kitchen draws repeated praise for fresh, well-presented dishes; travellers highlight how quiet the grounds are despite the easy road access; and the family that runs the property is described again and again as warm and genuinely welcoming. One Booking guest summed up the stay by pointing to friendly owners, exceptional meals at reasonable prices and cosy, near-new rooms.

From the club

Hospitality is part of how a program is judged. When a team buses six or seven hours across Central Europe to play us, the first impression of the Łódź Legion isn't the opening faceoff — it's the room they walk into that night. Partnering with Folwark means every club that visits Zgierz gets treated properly.

We're grateful to the Folwark team for backing college hockey in Łódzkie, and we look forward to a long partnership.
