Łódź Legion Sign Hard-Nosed Forward Ryan Sirianni-Smith

The Łódź Legion are proud to announce that center Ryan Sirianni-Smith has committed to the club for the 2026–27 EUCHL season. The Kamloops, BC native becomes another key addition to the Legion's inaugural roster as the program prepares to compete in the first-ever European Union College Hockey League while maintaining academic partnerships with the University of Łódź and Łódź University of Technology.

Sirianni-Smith, born in 2006, comes to Łódź after playing for the Sicamous Eagles, where he built a reputation as one of the most competitive players on the ice. Scouts consistently praise his relentless work ethic and willingness to battle in all three zones. The 20-year-old forward brings exactly the type of character and determination that head coach and management have targeted as they construct a team capable of competing at the highest level while embodying the Legion's core values.

What separates Sirianni-Smith from many players his age is the intangible qualities that don't always appear on stat sheets. His passion for the game is evident every shift, and his physical, hard-nosed style of play will make him a difficult opponent to handle in the corners and in front of the net. Legion coaching staff believe his toughness and compete level will set the tone for how the team approaches every game. Combined with his natural instincts and improving offensive skills, Sirianni-Smith projects as a player who will be a force on the ice from day one.

Beyond hockey, Sirianni-Smith will have the unique opportunity to pursue his academic goals through the Legion's partnerships with two of Łódź's premier universities while experiencing life in one of Poland's most vibrant cities. The EUCHL model offers players like Sirianni-Smith a genuine college hockey experience that develops them both on and off the ice—a chance to grow as students, athletes, and young men while competing in a professional European environment.
