Łódź Legion Signs Two-Way Center Krauskopf for Inaugural EUCHL Season
ŁÓDŹ, POLAND — The Łódź Legion announced today the commitment of center Korbin Krauskopf for the 2026–27 European Union College Hockey League season. The Grand Prairie, Alberta native becomes the latest addition to the Legion's inaugural roster as the program continues building toward its historic first campaign.
Krauskopf, 19, comes to Łódź following his time with the Grand Prairie Wheat Kings, where he established himself as a reliable two-way presence. The 2007-born forward brings the type of complete game that Łódź head coach and general manager are targeting as they construct a program built on defensive responsibility and character development. His combination of size, work ethic, and hockey intelligence fits perfectly within the Legion's player development model.
"Korbin is exactly the type of player we want in our program," said Legion Director of Hockey Operations. "He understands what it takes to succeed in all three zones. His physical style, defensive awareness, and willingness to do the dirty work make him an ideal fit for our system. He's a coach's dream — someone who brings it every shift and makes everyone around him better."
Beyond his on-ice abilities, Krauskopf represents the type of student-athlete the Legion envisions thriving in their unique European college hockey environment. With academic partnerships at the University of Łódź and Łódź University of Technology, Krauskopf will have the opportunity to pursue his education while experiencing a different culture and competing at a high level. The EUCHL model offers North American players an alternative pathway that combines quality hockey development with international experience and academic growth.
"This is an outstanding opportunity to play hockey and experience another culture and lifestyle all while gaining a valuable education. I am very thankful for everyone who has been by my side and has supported me up to this point. I look forward to being a part of the Lodz Legion."
The Legion continues assembling its roster ahead of the EUCHL's launch, staying true to its mission of developing players, building character, and redefining the college hockey experience. Krauskopf's commitment represents another step forward as Łódź prepares to make its mark on European college hockey.
